Best Tips And Tricks To Clean Kansha, Brass and Copper Utensils.

Kansha or Bell metal is a hard bronze alloy used for making bells and combination of copper and tin. Brass is an alloy of copper and zink. Copper is a pure elements. But these form a greenish layer commonly identified as Patina on its surface when exposed to air and moisture.

The dirt and patina make the bronze items look shabby. Hence we recommend you to clean every 4-5 days to protect its shining. So we have come up with a few tips and tricks which you can clean Kansha, Brass and Copper utensils easily. So let's check them out.

Lemon Juice

First, wash these utensils with warm water and dry it with a soft cloth. Then squeeze a small amount of lemon juice and mix it with baking soda. Rub this mixture on your bronze utensils in a circular motion. Then leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. After that, wash the items thoroughly to remove the mixture and let it dry to get back the desired shine.

White Vinegar

Here also you need to wash your Kansha, Brass and Copper utensils in warm water and dry them. Then take a small bowl and add an equal amount of flour and salt with a few drops of white vinegar. Make a soft and smooth paste and rub it on the utensils in small circular motions. Leave it for at least 30 minutes and then rinse them with warm water. For rubbing, you can use your hands or a polishing cloth. But it is better to wear gloves if you use hands.

Copper Glow Powder

Wash these utensils with clean water. Sprinkle an adequate amount of copper glow powder on the utensils. Apply it all over the utensils and let it sit for 5 minutes. You don't need to dry this paste. Gently rub with a cloth and wash with clean water. Lastly, leave it to dry.

Metal Polish

Shake the Metal polish bottle and pour it over a soft cloth. Now rub the cloth thoroughly on the utensils in a circular motion. Periodically scour the utensils with another dry cloth to check the improvement.
